The current Pavilion was built in 1921. Eighty-five years later it is still a great, historical building. However, in looking at ways to improve the existing Show Pavilion it became clear more space is needed than is available. For changes to be the most effective a new show barn is needed.
Problems being addressed are VENTILATION, lack of easy access seating/handicap seating and the shape of the show ring.

This project will be a benefit to every swine exhibitor, spectator and buyer. With your support this project is more than possible. Your donation will be a great way to show the Youth of the Auglaize County Junior Fair that the community is willing to invest in a project that, like the Pavilion built in 1921, will be used by many generations for years to come.

Goal:

To complete by the
2007 Auglaize County Fair
53' x 80' OPEN-Sided Extension
of the Miller Building

Features:

  • Rectangular Show Ring
  • Holding Pens at Each End
  • Numerous Low Rise Bleachers
  • Designated Handicap Seating
  • Improved Ventilation

Goal:

To be completed when funding
becomes available
90' x 80' Extension
Off the New Show Barn

Features:
  • Enlargement of Show Ring (if needed)
  • Housing for All Swine currently in Wood Barn and Miller Building
  • Room for Future Growth

The Auglaize County Swine Barn Committee
is made up of parents, advisors, teachers
and business owners who maybe, like you,
will stop during the Auglaize County Fair
and watch a swine show or
take part in the livestock sale.
